What we believe in
‘we don’t socialize kids with industrial food ’
Through school canteens, vacation villages or nurseries, mass catering is a powerful lever for the much needed socio-ecological transition of our society. Turning a canteen into organic promotes the virtuous change of various actors and institutions in addition to health and environmental gains for people : raise the awareness of elected representatives, work with organic and local gardeners, appreciate the profession of cooks, educate children (and adults) to sustainable and tasty food. All this participate to a sustainable development of the local territory and generations. “Mum, dad ! I want to eat organic !”
Training the stakeholders of mass catering
“les pieds dans le plat” collective
Le Collectif les Pieds dans le Plat is an association born from the French national network of cooks and nutritionists committed to organic mass catering, in the context of the Grenelle Environment Forum.
The collective proposes an alternative to the model promoted by the agri-food industry by encouraging cooperation with local organic producers, respect of the environment, health and fair remuneration of all stakeholders.
The collective is composed of 25 trainers and it is growing. It has already trained more than 60 organisms all around France and Philippe plays a key role in the projet.
